We built it so that it cannot do so quietly, and we cannot promise it is perfect. Every rewritten line is tied to a line you wrote. Code checks catch many new numbers, names and stronger verbs, a second AI model from a different maker checks for overstated wording, and a stricter second pass runs after that. Anything doubtful reverts to your own words. Our own checks are not a guarantee on every CV, so please read your CV before you send it.

No. Tailoring puts your most relevant evidence first and rewords only rough lines, in your own terms. It does not mirror the advert's wording or add claims. Some tools do that, and it is how invented experience gets into a CV.

No tool can honestly promise that. Practitioner sources report that no major applicant tracking system automatically rejects a CV for missing keywords, and that there is no universal "ATS score" (Huntr). The usual automatic filters are knockout questions, such as right to work or a required certification, and people make the decisions. For very busy roles a recruiter may only open the highest-ranked applications, so a CV that is clear and relevant still matters. We do not quote a pass rate.

It is a widely repeated claim, usually quoted with a precise percentage, and the sources we checked call it a myth: the software parses, stores and ranks, and people reject (ATS Verification). A CV that parses badly or lacks the terms a recruiter searches for can still go unseen, which is why the exports are single-column and text-selectable, and why we show whether your CV demonstrates what the advert asks for.

No. Listing words you cannot back up tends to backfire, because recruiters spot keyword walls quickly and ask about them at interview (ATS Verification, Reczee). We only credit a requirement when we can quote a line of your CV that shows it, and a skill that appears only in a Skills list counts for little until you tell us where you used it.

It is how many of the advert's requirements your CV can demonstrate, shown requirement by requirement with the evidence we found. It is our own measure. It is not what any employer's software would say, and it does not predict whether you will be shortlisted.

After matching, you get one of three verdicts with reasons: apply, apply with a note, or probably skip. It is advice from comparing your CV with the advert, not a prediction. If it says probably skip, you are asked to confirm before anything is reworded, and the analysis still uses its one credit.

We tell you. The requirement is marked missing, nothing is added to your CV to cover it, and you get a short, honest next step: add real experience we may not have seen, leave it out, or consider a course that would let you add it truthfully later.

One credit pays for the whole analysis of one advert: the match report, the gap list, the apply or skip verdict, an honest re-order of your CV, light clean-up such as spelling and capitals, and a rewrite where it helps. It is charged once, when the report is delivered. A result that comes back as a long shot is charged like any other, because it delivers the same report. Free: the rewrite step after the analysis, re-checks, your answers to our questions, live coverage updates, importing a CV, and anything that fails or is discarded. A CV in a language we can't analyse yet gets no report and isn't charged. The guest trial is one analysis a day. If you edit your CV afterwards, a signed-in account can re-check the same advert free up to 3 times per analysis; the guest trial gets no free re-checks. A different advert, or the same advert after those 3 re-checks, is a new analysis and uses a new credit. Analysing the same advert with the same CV again within 24 hours doesn't use another credit.

Import a PDF, a Word file or pasted text. If a PDF is a scan, reading it needs a separate consent because the file goes to an OCR service. You can always paste the text instead. Choose from six single-column templates (Classic, Modern, Compact, Executive, Academic and Technical) and export to PDF, Word (DOCX) or plain text. What we have not tested: how Word or Google Docs display the Word file, how any employer's ATS reads your files, and we do not claim tagged (accessible) PDFs.

Yes. Pick UK, US or EU conventions. UK uses A4 and US uses Letter. For UK and US exports we leave out photo, date of birth, nationality and marital status, in line with guidance such as the National Careers Service. The EU option keeps a date of birth or nationality only if you entered them. No photo is ever added.

We do not use it for training and we do not sell it. When you use an AI feature your text goes to OpenRouter, which passes it to a model host. We ask for hosts that do not keep prompts or train on them, but those hosts have their own policies, which we do not control. The privacy section above lists exactly what is sent and what is not removed.
