How it works, and what to keep in mind
- Browsing the prompt, skill, image and GPT libraries does not need an account. The tools have Free, Basic and Pro plans with different usage limits; see the plans page.
- Community members can submit prompts, images and tools. Submissions are screened before they are listed.
- The Prompt Index is about AI, and most of its tools use AI models. AI output can be wrong. Check anything important against the primary sources each guide links to.
- Prompts are shared as working starting points. Results depend on the model and the task, so test a prompt before you rely on it.
Editorial, AI-use and corrections policy
- Who writes it. Guides on The Prompt Index are published under Stephen's name. Prompts, images and tools submitted by community members are screened before they are listed.
- AI use. The site is about AI and uses AI models in most of its tools. AI output can be wrong, so facts that matter should be checked against the primary sources each guide links to.
- Corrections. If you find an error, outdated information or a broken link, tell us through the contact form and name the page. Factual errors are corrected when they are confirmed.
