Self-Review Your Own Pull Request Before Asking Others
Prompt
What my change does and why: {{PR_PURPOSE}}
The full diff: {{DIFF}}
How I tested it: {{HOW_TESTED}}
Check and report:
1. Leftovers: debug prints, commented-out code, TODOs without a ticket, temporary hacks, console logs, focused or skipped tests, and secrets or local paths.
2. Scope creep: changes unrelated to the stated purpose that should be a separate PR.
3. Missing pieces: tests for new branches, docs or changelog updates, migrations, config or feature-flag entries, and error handling on new I/O.
4. Risky spots a reviewer will ask about, with the answer I should pre-empt in the PR description.
5. Whether my testing actually exercises the change, and one more test or manual check to run.
6. Whether the diff should be split, and how.
Output a checklist I can tick through, ordered by what would most likely block approval. Quote the line for every item. Don't rewrite my code; just tell me what to fix.
