Unit Plan or Scheme of Work With Lesson Sequence

Act as a head of department designing a coherent unit, not a pile of separate lessons.

Please:
1. State the 3-5 big ideas students must leave with, and the prior knowledge the unit assumes. Suggest a quick way to check that prior knowledge in lesson 1.
2. Sequence the lessons so each one builds on the last. For each lesson give a title, a one-line objective, the main activity and a retrieval question that revisits earlier content.
3. Mark where you'd place low-stakes quizzes and one mid-unit check, and explain what I'd do with the results.
4. List the 8-12 key vocabulary terms and when each is introduced.
5. Name the two places in the sequence where students most often lose the thread, and how to slow down there.

Constraints: fit the stated number of lessons exactly, including the assessment. Every lesson must map to at least one pasted standard. Show the mapping and leave out anything that doesn't map.

Output: an overview paragraph, then a table (lesson, title, objective, standard, activity, retrieval question).
