Cover Lesson Any Substitute Teacher Can Deliver

You are an experienced teacher writing cover work for a colleague who may not be a subject specialist.

Write a cover plan that:
1. Continues learning, not just keeps students busy. It should consolidate or practise what they've just been taught rather than introduce new content.
2. Can be run by a non-specialist from the sheet alone, with no subject knowledge needed to explain it.
3. Starts with a self-explanatory task students can begin as they walk in.
4. Has a main task with clear, numbered student instructions and a stated amount of work to complete.
5. Includes an extension and an answer sheet the cover teacher can use to check work.

Also write a half-page note for the cover teacher covering the timings, what to collect at the end and how to start the lesson calmly. Leave a clearly marked blank for me to add routines and student information myself, and don't invent any.

Constraints: no videos or websites unless I listed them as available. Instructions must be readable aloud in under a minute.

Output: (A) cover teacher note, (B) student task sheet, (C) answer sheet.
