Lesson: Teach Students to Fact-Check AI Answers

Plan the lesson:
1. A starter where students predict how reliable an AI answer will be.
2. An activity with a short AI-style answer on the familiar topic that you write, containing a mix of correct statements, one subtle factual error, one invented source and one overconfident claim. Give the answer key to me separately.
3. A checking routine students can reuse: what to check, where to check it (textbook, trusted sites, class notes), and how to record what they found.
4. A discussion on why AI tools produce errors that sound confident, explained accurately for this age without technical jargon.
5. A short task where students write rules for when AI is and isn't helpful in this subject.

Constraints: if devices or student AI accounts aren't allowed, design the lesson to work entirely on paper. Respect platform age limits and school policy.

Output: a timed lesson plan, the student activity sheet, then the teacher answer key.
