In the pack: ChatGPT, Claude & Gemini Prompts for Writers and Authors
KDP Keywords and Category Brainstorm
Prompt
My book: {{BOOK_SUMMARY}}
Genre, subgenre, tropes and setting: {{GENRE_DETAILS}}
How I think readers search for books like mine: {{READER_SEARCHES}}
Do this:
1. Generate 25 candidate keyword phrases readers might type into Amazon search, grouped by type: subgenre, tropes, setting, character type, mood, and reader occasion (for example beach read). Use phrases of 2-5 words.
2. Remove anything that breaks Amazon's keyword rules as generally understood: other authors' names, other book titles, claims like "bestseller" or "free", time-limited words like "new", and words that misrepresent the content.
3. Pick the seven strongest, combining related phrases so each box covers as much ground as possible, and explain each choice in one line.
4. Suggest 6-8 categories to research in the Kindle store, and tell me what to check (how many books, how recent the top sellers are, whether my book genuinely fits).
Make clear that you can't see Amazon's search volume or rankings. I'll test each phrase in Amazon's search bar and check the current KDP keyword guidelines before using it.
