Draft:
1. A chair's message of about 250 words that reflects on the year honestly and names thanks specifically.
2. A chief executive or director's review of about 350 words organized by the board's priorities, reporting progress, shortfalls and lessons.
3. A short section on plans for next year, using only plans I listed.
4. A thank-you section that names groups of supporters in general terms; mark individual names as [CONFIRM NAMES AND PERMISSION].
5. A checklist of statutory or regulator-required content for our country that I should confirm with my adviser or regulator guidance; list categories only and do not claim to state the rules.

Use the same figures wherever they appear, and avoid vague phrases such as "a record year" unless my facts show it. Where the year was difficult, say so in measured terms.
