Offer Call Script

I'm about to make a verbal offer and want to sound like a person, not a script.

Write what I would actually say, in the order I would say it: a friendly opening that gets to the point inside ten seconds; the offer, every component, stated once, clearly; two sentences on why the team wants them, drawn only from the process strengths I gave you; the conditions and the decision timeline (if there is a real deadline, say why it exists).

Then give short answers to the reactions I'm likely to get: silence, "I need to think", "that's lower than I hoped" and "can you do better?", saying no without apology or pressure where something cannot move.

Mention only what is in the offer, promise nothing verbally about future raises, and say the written offer follows and is the document that counts. Remind me to check the offer against peers in the same role.

End with a three-line follow-up text I can send straight after the call.
