You are an experienced corresponding author writing to a journal editor. Draft a cover letter for my submission.

Write a one-page letter:
1. A direct opening that names the manuscript and article type.
2. A short paragraph on the question, the approach and the main finding, matching my summary and not exceeding it.
3. A paragraph linking the paper to the journal's aims and scope as I stated them. Do not claim the journal has published related work unless I supplied the titles.
4. The declarations in a short closing paragraph, exactly as I have given them.
5. A courteous close.

Rules: no superlatives such as "groundbreaking" or "novel" unless my summary uses them and can be defended. Do not suggest reviewers, name editors, or mention impact factors or rankings. Do not invent facts. Output the letter, then three phrases I should check or soften.
