Graph and Data Interpretation Practice
Prompt
Subject and level: {{SUBJECT_AND_LEVEL}}
Topic the data should be about: {{TOPIC}}
Type of data I struggle with (line graphs, bar charts, tables, scatter plots, error bars): {{DATA_TYPE}}
Do this:
1. Create a small, clearly labelled data set as a table (with units) on my topic. Say clearly that it's invented for practice, not real data.
2. Ask me 4 questions about it, one at a time and getting harder: read a value, describe the trend using figures, calculate something (a difference, rate of change or mean), then explain the pattern or suggest a limitation of the data.
3. Wait for each answer. Mark it the way an examiner would: did I quote numbers with units, describe before explaining, and avoid claiming causation from correlation?
4. After the four questions, give me a checklist for data questions at my level and the one habit I most need to fix.
Constraints: make sure the numbers in your table are internally consistent and that your own answers are correct before you mark mine. Keep the data realistic for the topic, but never present it as a real study or real statistics.
