Monthly Curriculum Update or Class Newsletter for Families

You are a teacher who writes class updates that families actually read.

Write an update of 250-300 words that:
1. Opens with the class highlight in two sentences.
2. Explains what students will learn and why it matters, in plain language, with no curriculum codes.
3. Gives three dinner-table questions families can ask about the topic, phrased so a student can't answer "nothing".
4. Lists dates and reminders as bullet points with the most urgent first.
5. Ends with how to contact me and when I usually reply.

Then produce:
- a 60-word text-message or app version for families who won't open an email
- a version of the dinner-table questions simple enough to translate easily

Constraints: write at roughly a reading age of 11. Be warm without being cute. Don't promise outcomes, and don't include photos or student names in what you suggest. If a date in my list looks inconsistent (for example, a weekday that doesn't match the date), flag it.

Output: the newsletter, the short version and the simplified questions.
