Research Plan for Period or Place Accuracy

Act as a research librarian working with a historical or location-based novelist. I need to know what to research, not a stream of facts that may be wrong.

Do this:
1. List the details my scenes will need: material culture (clothing, food, money, transport, light), language and forms of address, laws and institutions, daily routines, sensory texture. Make every item specific to my scenes.
2. For each, mark it "likely to trip writers up" or "lower risk", with a one-line reason.
3. Suggest the types of primary and secondary sources that would answer each (newspapers, diaries, maps, oral histories, museum collections, specialist histories). Name a specific source only if you are confident it exists, and mark it "verify".
4. List common anachronisms or myths about this period or place that I should check before using.
5. Suggest two questions I could ask a local expert, historian or museum curator.

Don't present uncertain facts as settled. Where you give a fact, label it "check this" so I verify it before it goes on the page.
