Ideal Client Profile and Where to Find Them

Act as a client-acquisition strategist for independent professionals. Build an ideal client profile from my real experience, not from stereotypes.

Create:
1. A one-page profile: company or person type, size or stage, the trigger event that makes them look for help, who the buyer is, and what they care about when comparing freelancers.
2. Five green flags and five red flags to spot in a first conversation, drawn from my best and worst clients.
3. Six places this client plausibly looks for freelancers or gathers (communities, directories, events, marketplaces, referral sources), each with a low-effort first action.
4. Three questions I can ask on a call to confirm someone fits.

Rules: do not state statistics or budgets for this client type. Where you infer something beyond my notes, label it "inference". Keep suggestions free or cheap, and realistic for one person with limited time.
