Sustainability and Exit Section
Prompt
The project: {{PROJECT}}
Our funding plan beyond this grant (other funders, earned income, partner commitments, in-kind support): {{FUNDING_PLAN}}
Commitments already made by partners or commissioners: {{PARTNER_COMMITMENTS}}
Write a sustainability section that:
1. Separates what will continue without grant funding (skills, systems, partnerships) from what needs ongoing money.
2. Describes the funding sources we are pursuing, with status for each: secured, in discussion, planned, or hoped for.
3. Explains the exit or step-down plan if funding does not continue, including how we would treat participants fairly.
4. States the lessons or resources we will share so the work has value beyond our organization.
5. Is realistic about risk without sounding defeatist.
Rules: do not describe any funding as secured unless my notes say it is. No invented pledges, letters of support or commissioner statements. Where evidence of commitment is thin, add [COMMITMENT NEEDED] so I can obtain it before submitting. Maximum 350 words.
Output: the section followed by a short list of commitments to secure in writing.
