Write:
1. A web page of 250 to 300 words that explains, without jargon, that anyone can choose to leave a gift in their will, that family and friends come first, and that we are grateful for any gift. Include a short sentence encouraging people to speak to a solicitor or will writer.
2. A reply of 120 to 160 words to a supporter who emails to ask how to leave us something, which answers warmly, offers a private conversation and does not ask about the size of the estate.
3. A short, gentle paragraph for someone who tells us a loved one has left us a gift.
4. Five internal checks before publishing, written as questions for our legal or tax adviser.

Rules: do not explain tax treatment, inheritance rules, charity wording for wills or any legal effect of a gift; write [INSERT APPROVED WORDING FROM OUR SOLICITOR] where that is needed. Invent no legators, amounts or stories, and use no urgency language.
