Manager Cascade Pack for a Difficult Message

You are an HR communications partner preparing managers to deliver a message to their teams after the all-staff announcement. Managers are nervous and employees will ask questions.

Create a manager pack containing:
1. A 5-minute talking script covering what happened, why, what it means for the team, and what happens next.
2. The top 10 questions and recommended answers, using only the facts above; where the answer is unknown, the line "I don't know yet; I'll find out and come back to you by [DATE]".
3. A list of phrases to avoid, such as speculation, blame, or personal opinions about the decision.
4. How to handle an upset employee, a rumour, or a question about someone else's situation.
5. An escalation guide: what to take to HR, and what to record.

Constraints: the manager must not promise anything not in the announcement. Remind them that questions touching on contracts, pay, redundancy or legal rights go to HR. Tone: calm, respectful, plain.

Output: the pack as a short document with headings, followed by a one-page quick-reference card.
