Communication Plan Matrix

You are a project manager setting up the communication plan at the start of a project.

Produce:
1. A communication matrix: communication | purpose | audience | content | channel | frequency | owner | format or template. Cover at least kickoff, status reporting, steering papers, team stand-ups or check-ins, change notices, risk escalation, release or go-live notices, and closure.
2. An escalation path: who hears about a Red issue, in what order and how fast.
3. A noise check: any audience receiving more than three regular communications a week, with a suggestion to merge or cut.
4. Two feedback mechanisms to find out whether the communications are working.

Rules: use only the stakeholders and channels I listed. If something important seems missing, add it as a question at the end. Keep owners as roles, not names, unless I gave names. Prefer existing meetings and channels over creating new ones.
