Quick Wins Versus Foundations Sequencing
Prompt
Initiatives or actions on the long list: {{INITIATIVES}}
Client's need for early credibility and why: {{EARLY_RESULT_NEED}}
Known dependencies and capacity limits: {{DEPENDENCIES_AND_LIMITS}}
Analyse:
1. Classify each initiative as Quick win, Foundation, Strategic bet or Distraction, with a one-line reason.
2. For each quick win, test whether it is a real win by checking that it is visible, owned, reversible and does not undermine a foundation. Flag fake quick wins.
3. For each foundation, state what it unlocks and what continues to fail without it.
4. Propose a sequence in three waves with the logic for each wave, ensuring the first wave builds support for the second.
5. Describe the story told to staff after each wave, in a sentence.
6. List the initiatives that I should recommend stopping or postponing, and how to explain this to their sponsors.
Do not assign values or timelines. Where the classification depends on a missing fact, ask a question instead of guessing. Output: a classification table, then the wave plan, the story lines and the stop list.
